PPM-8007
JK STEERING STABILIZER RELOCATION BRACKET

Version 2

GENERAL NOTES:

• These instructions are also available on our website; www.synergymfg.com Check

the website before you begin for any updated instructions and additional photos
for your reference.

• This steering stabilizer bracket will work with the Synergy Manufacturing track

bar relocation bracket or no track bar relocation bracket at all. It may work on
other manufactures track bar relocation brackets but you will be required to check
fitment.

• This steering stabilizer bracket enables the use of the Fox 980-99-099-A-JK

steering stabilizer, Synergy Manufacturing PPM-6001 steering stabilizer or the
factory. Others most likely can be used but you will be required to check fitment.

• A minimum of 2” tall bumper stop spacers are required to prevent the steering

stabilizer relocation bracket from contacting the frame when the suspension is at
full bump. Most lift kits include and require a bump stop spacer this tall.

• 2011+ Jeeps will require the use of the 8003 Tie Rod Clamp. The factory clamp

cannot be flipped; it will interfere with the differential cover.

1. Remove the factory steering stabilizer
2. Install the new steering stabilizer relocation bracket under the track bar mounting bolt

on the factory axle bracket.

3. Attach the two additional 3/8 bolts to the factory track bar bracket. If you are not

using this bracket with a track bar relocation bracket you will need to install the inner
bolt with the bolt head on the inside of the bracket or omit it completely, depending
on interference with the track bar.

4. Tighten the track bar bolt to 125 ft-lbs and the 3/8” bolts to 40 ft-lbs
5. Rotate the factory tie rod bracket to the top of the tie rod. Or install the Synergy

Manufacturing 8003 Tie rod clamp. Do not tighten yet, you will need to position the
tie rod bracket correctly side to side when the steering stabilizer is installed.

6. Install the steering stabilizer. If you are using a Fox steering stabilizer, you will need

to use one long (7/16) and one short (5/16) bearing spacer in the steering stabilizer
relocation bracket. Tighten the ½” bolt to 75 ft-lbs

7. Position the tie rod clamp so you have full steering and full travel of the steering

stabilizer. Torque the factory tie rod clamp u-bolt nuts to 20 ft-lbs and large nut to 50
