User’s Guide to Foot Pedals

for Advantage Keyboards

Single Pedal (FS007RJ11)

Dual Pedal (FS007DAF)

Triple Pedal (FS007TAF)

Connecting pedal to keyboard
Connect the telephone-style pigtail on your
keyboard’s main cable to the matching coupler that
came with your foot pedal (figure 1, arrow).

Warning:
Do not connect foot pedal to any
telephone line or other equipment accepting
RJ11 plug. Doing so could create an electrical
or fire hazard.

Default actions

(FS007RJ11)
Keypad (shifts keyboard into keypad mode,
activating the embedded layer while the pedal is
held down).

Dual Pedal (FS007DAF)
Left: Keypad (shifts keyboard into keypad mode,
activating the embedded layer while the pedal is
held down).
Right: Shift.

Triple Pedal (FS007TAF)
Left: Enter (the keypad Enter key action).
Middle:

mode, activating the embedded layer while the
pedal is held down).
Right: Shift.

Anchoring single pedal to floor
If you have an individual pedal, you may find it
easier to use if it is anchored to the floor with the
provided self-adhesive hook & loop square. If you
are working on carpet, just use the “hook” side
attached to the bottom of the foot switch.

Customizing pedal actions
These foot pedals may perform any action that a key
can perform on your Kinesis Advantage keyboard,
using the Onboard

programming feature.

Program a new action to the foot pedal the same
way you re-program a key. The bottom of your
keyboard has simple programming instructions. See
your keyboard’s User’s Manual for details.
