FORD 429-460 BIG BLOCK ENGINE
V8 ENGINE MOUNTS
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Due to the extreme torque values of the 460 & 429 Ford V8 engines, it will be mandatory that you install a limit strap
or straps to the driver's side and passenger side engine mount. This limiting strap will prevent the engine from torquing
beyond the limits of the rubber vulcanization. The straps should be installed with approximately 1/2" tension reserve.
This will permit the engine to torque up to 1/2" in the motor mount area without causing any problem to the motor mount
itself. Warranty on engine mount separation will be void if the limiting straps are not in place.
