SBS adapter — Instructions for use

Instructions for use This document supplements the instructions for use of the Centrifuge 5804/5804 R/5810/5810 R,
but does not replace them. Therefore, also read the instructions for use. The current version can
be found online at www.eppendorf.com.
Product description
The SBS adapter is designed for centrifugation of microplates and deepwell plates in SBS format
(127 mm x 85 mm) in the rotors A-2-MTP and A-2-DWP. The plates are centered in the carrier
using the adapter and secured against slipping.
Safety notes
 Observe the maximum allowed loading height and load (see Technical data).
 Load the rotor symmetrically. When doing so, follow the loading instructions included in the
instructions for use of the centrifuge.
Centrifugation
 Place the SBS adapter in the plate carrier in so that the Eppendorf logo is legible.
Cleaning and Disinfection
Use a mild cleaning agent for cleaning.
Use alcohol (ethanol, isopropanol) or disinfectants containing alcohol for the disinfection.
Technical data
CAUTION!
CAUTION! Plate breakage due to incorrect positioning.
The plate frame may not protrude above the highest edges of the adapter on all sides.
 Ensure that the plate is centered in the adapter.
Hint!
The SBS adapter cannot be autoclaved.
