4.6 rePlaCing Drive belT

4.5 Clearing PluggeD roTor

Stop engine and wait for all moving parts to stop.

Remove bolts and lift rotor access cover.

Remove the lock pin from storage position (see

Warning

If the machine becomes plugged, shut off engine and

allow the machine to come to a complete stop before

cleaning debris.

Check the condition of the drive belt annually or after every

25 hours of operating, whichever comes first. If the belt is

cracked, frayed, or worn, replace it. To replace or adjust

drive belt, proceed as follows:

Shut off engine.

Remove large belt guard.

Remove the hydraulic pump belt by loosening the bolts

Install the new drive belt on pulleys.

tion at the center of the belt should be 7/16" when a 20

lb. load is placed against the belt (see Figure 4.5).
Reinstall hydraulic pump belt. Readjust hydraulic pump

ing slots. Tighten bolts.
Replace belt guard.

Depress belt engagement pedal, start engine, engage

Tighten bolts on anvil to 75 ft-lbs. Make sure all blades
