DANGER
This torch is used with a flammable product. Failure to
comply with these Warnings and Instructions may result
in an explosion or fire that may cause property damage,
serious personal injury or death.
Read and comply with the instructions and warnings in
this manual and familiarize yourself with the torch before
lighting and using. Review instructions and warnings
periodically to maintain awareness. Do not try to oper-
ate before reading instructions.
Torches are to be used with propane only. Use only with
hand held propane cylinders specifically designed for
use with torches.
GENERAL WARNINGS
WARNING
• Materials used in the construction of this device may contain
brass (which may contain lead), a chemical known to the
State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive
harm.
• Combustion by-products produced when using this device
contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause
cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.
1. Keep torch out of reach of children and anyone who has not read
instructions. DO NOT point torch towards face, other persons or
flammable objects. NEVER attempt to use torch as a cigarette
lighter.
2. ONLY use torch in an upright position. NEVER use the torch
upside down. The propane cylinder contains gaseous and liquid
propane. If the torch is moved rapidly, tilted too far to the side or
upside down, the liquid can enter the valve and cause the flame
to flare or extinguish
3. Disconnect cylinder when not in use.
4. NEVER attempt to modify the torch construction and never use
unapproved accessories or fuels.
5. Be extra careful when using the torch outdoors on sunny or windy
days. Bright sun makes it impossible to see the torch’s flame.
Wind may carry the torch’s heat back towards you or other areas
not intended to be heated. Windy conditions may also cause
sparks to be blown into other areas with combustible materials.
6. Treat the torch as you would any fine tool or instrument. DO NOT
drop, throw, or otherwise abuse.
7. DO NOT use a leaking, damaged or malfunctioning torch.
8. When brazing, always wear goggles having an ANSI Z87.1 2979
Shade No. 4 or No. 5 lens.
9. NEVER use torch to strip paint.
10. Heating a surface may cause heat to be conducted to adjoining
surfaces that may be combustible or become pressurized when
heated. ALWAYS check to make sure no unintended parts or
materials are being heated.
11. Work only in well-ventilated areas. Avoid the fumes from fluxes,
lead-based paint, and all metal heating operations. Be especially
careful to avoid fumes from cadmium plating and galvanized
metal- remove these coatings in the area to be heated by filing or
sanding prior to heating.
12. Avoid contact of flux with skin or eyes.
13. ALWAYS wear safety glasses, protective gloves and use proper
tools to handle hot work.
14. Be aware that the tip of the torch can get extremely hot during
use. Take precautions to protect yourself and others from ac-
cidental burns.
15. NEVER use the torch on or near combustibles. Be especially
careful around motor vehicles or any gasoline-fired products and
beware of hidden fuel lines and tanks.
16. ALWAYS make certain the torch is placed on a level surface when
connected to the fuel cylinder to reduce the risk of accidental tip
over. Be sure the torch is not pointed in a direction which could
cause nearby objects to ignite when the torch is set down.
17. NEVER leave the torch unattended when lit.
18. NEVER attempt to repair or heat a gasoline tank, a chemical
drum an aerosol can, a compressed gas container that held
flammable liquid or gas or any other chemical. Heating these is
extremely dangerous, especially after they have been “emptied”.
19. When thawing pipes, be very careful not to overheat surrounding
materials. Use heat shield.
20. ALWAYS have a fire extinguisher and a bucket of water near the
torch and work area.
21. This torch consumes oxygen and must only be used in well
ventilated areas. DO NOT use in a confined space.
DANGER
EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE. CONTENTS UNDER PRESSURE.
• Keep fuel cylinders away from heat or flame.
• It is illegal and dangerous to refill the cylinder. When empty,
obtain a new cylinder from your dealer.
• Federal law prohibits transportation if refilled. Penalty up to
$500,000 fine and five years imprisonment (49 U.S.C. 5124)
• Keep cylinders out of reach of children
• Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight.
• DO NOT store near source of heat or in a room used for habitation.
• ALWAYS detach torch from cylinder when not in use.
• DO NOT breathe gas, fumes, vapor or spray. If inhaled, remove
affected person to fresh air.
• Avoid contact with eyes or skin. In case of contact with eyes, rinse
immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. For
skin contact, flush with large amounts of water.
• When cylinder is empty, discard in a safe place. DO NOT throw
cylinder in fire. DO NOT puncture or incinerate cylinder.
TS1500 WT2301 AL30 ASSEMBLY
1. Before attaching cylinder, make sure torch valve is OFF by turning
knob in the direction of the arrow on knob (clockwise) until it
stops. A light stop is sufficient. DO NOT force.
2. Hold torch so that burner tube is pointed away from persons and
flammable materials. Thread gas cylinder into regulator/torch
body. Hand tight only. DO NOT force.
3. Check all joints and couplings periodically to insure against
loose connections. With valve closed, without lighting, test all
connections with soapy water. If bubbles appear, gas is leaking
and torch must be repaired. NEVER USE A FLAME TO CHECK FOR
LEAKS. Conduct this test in a well ventilated and spark-free area
and where there are no open flames.
USE ONLY PROPANE FUEL WITH THIS TORCH. USE OF ANY OTHER
FUEL MAY DAMAGE YOUR TORCH.
LIGHTING AND OPERATION
1. Open knob approximately ½ turn- DO NOT FORCE. Whether or
not the torch is lit, NEVER look into the burner tube or point in
unsafe direction.
2. Point the torch in a safe direction and pull the igniter button.
Repeat if necessary while adjusting the valve slightly. After the
torch lights the igniter button may be released and the flame may
be adjusted.
3. If the torch does not light immediately upon opening the torch
valve, close the valve and wait 5 minutes before attempting to
light again. Failure to follow this instruction could result in a build
up of flammable gas which if ignited could result in a fireball that
could cause injuries and property damage. DO NOT open the
valve and allow gas to flow through the torch without attempting
to light the torch.
4. To adjust the flame direction, grasp case and rotate burn tube to
desired position as shown in Model AL30 picture. (AL30 Model
Only)
5. For hottest, most efficient flame, adjust control knob until bright
blue flame is 1.0 inch in length.
6. DO NOT use torch with fuel cylinder tipped more than 60 degrees
from its upright position as this may cause torch to flare.
ADDITIONAL WARNINGS
1. Make sure the torch is cool before lighting or removing burner
head or before installing or removing accessories.
2. Check all joints and couplings periodically to insure against loose
connections. With valve open, without lighting, test all connec-
tions with soapy water. If bubbles appear, gas is leaking and torch
must be repaired. NEVER USE A FLAME TO CHECK FOR LEAKS.
Make this test in a well ventilated and spark-free area and where
there are no open flames.
3. In cold weather the size of the flame will be smaller. To produce
a larger flame, pre-warm the cylinder to room temperature prior
to use.
4. As a safety feature, the burner tube may bend or snap if the torch
is dropped, in which case the torch must be replaced.
STORAGE
REMOVE CYLINDER FROM TORCH WHEN NOT IN USE.
1. Turn torch valve OFF.
2. When torch is cool, disconnect cylinder and store torch and cylin-
der separately and out of the reach of children. Observe cautions
on cylinder label.
3. Do not expose cylinders to temperatures in excess of 120 F.
4. Store cylinders in well ventilated areas.

PELIGRO
Este soplete se usa con un producto inflamable. Si no se
cumplen estas advertencias e instrucciones, se pueden
producir una explosión o un incendio que pueden
causar daños materiales, lesiones personales graves o
la muerte.
Lea y cumpla las instrucciones y advertencias en
este manual, y familiarícese con el soplete antes de
encenderlo y utilizarlo. Revise las instrucciones y
advertencias periódicamente para tenerlas presente. No
intente hacerlo funcionar antes de leer las instrucciones.
Los sopletes se deben utilizar solo con propano.
Utilícelos solamente con cilindros portátiles con propano
diseñados específicamente para su uso con sopletes.
ADVERTENCIAS GENERALES
ADVERTENCIA

1. Mantenga el soplete lejos del alcance de los niños o de cualquier persona

19. Cuando descongele tuberías, tenga mucho cuidado de no sobrecalentar

20. SIEMPRE tenga un extintor de incendios y un balde con agua cerca del
soplete y el área de trabajo.
21. Este soplete consume oxígeno y se debe utilizar solamente en áreas bien
ventiladas. NO lo use en espacios cerrados.
PELIGRO
EXTREMADAMENTE INFLAMABLE. EL CONTENIDO ESTÁ BAJO PRESIÓN.
• Mantenga los cilindros de combustible alejados del calor o las llamas.
• Es ilegal y peligroso volver a llenar el cilindro. Cuando esté vacío, adquiera
un nuevo cilindro en su distribuidor.
• La ley federal prohíbe su transporte si se rellena el cilindro. Multa de hasta
$500,000 y cinco años de prisión (49 U.S.C. 5124).
• Mantenga los cilindros fuera del alcance de los niños.
• Evite la exposición prolongada a la luz del sol.
• NO lo guarde cerca de una fuente de calor o en un cuarto habitable.
• Desconecte SIEMPRE el soplete del cilindro cuando no lo utilice.
• NO aspire gases, humos, vapores ni pulverizaciones. Si se inhalan, lleve a la
persona afectada a un lugar donde haya aire fresco.
• Evite el contacto con los ojos y la piel. En caso de que se produzca contacto
con los ojos, enjuáguelos inmediatamente con abundante agua y consulte a
un médico. Si entra en contacto con la piel, enjuáguela con abundante agua.
• Cuando el cilindro esté vacío, deséchelo en un lugar seguro. NO tire el
cilindro al fuego. NO perfore ni incinere el cilindro.
TS1500 WT2301 AL30 ARMADO
1. Antes de conectar el cilindro, asegúrese de que la válvula del soplete esté
APAGADA girando la perilla en la dirección de la flecha de la perilla (en
el sentido de las agujas del reloj) hasta que se detenga. Un tope suave es
suficiente. NO la fuerce.
2. Sostenga el soplete de modo que el tubo del quemador apunte en
dirección opuesta a las demás personas y materiales inflamables.
Enrosque el cilindro de gas en el cuerpo del regulador/soplete. Apriete a
mano solamente. NO lo fuerce.
3. Revise todas las uniones y los acoplamientos periódicamente para
asegurarse de que no haya conexiones flojas. Con la válvula cerrada, sin
encender, pruebe todas las conexiones con agua jabonosa. Si aparecen
burbujas, existe una fuga de gas y se debe reparar el soplete. NO USE
NUNCA UNA LLAMA PARA DETERMINAR SI HAY FUGAS. Realice esta
prueba en un área bien ventilada y sin chispas y donde no haya llamas
abiertas.
USE SOLO PROPANO COMO COMBUSTIBLE CON ESTE SOPLETE. USAR
CUALQUIER OTRO GAS PODRÍA DAÑAR SU SOPLETE.
ENCENDIDO Y OPERACIÓN
1. Abra la perilla aproximadamente ½ giro – NO LA FUERCE. Ya sea que
el soplete esté encendido o no, NUNCA mire adentro del tubo del
quemador ni apunte en una dirección que no sea segura.
2. Apunte el soplete en una dirección segura y apriete el botón de
encendido. Repita si es necesario mientras ajusta la válvula ligeramente.
Luego que se encienda el soplete, puede soltar el botón de encendido y
puede ajustar la llama.
3. Si el soplete no se enciende inmediatamente al abrir la válvula de
combustible, cierre la válvula y espere 5 minutos antes de intentar
encenderlo nuevamente. Si no se sigue esta instrucción, se podría
acumular gas inflamable, el cual al encenderse podría generar una bola
de fuego que podría causar lesiones personales y daños materiales.
NO abra la válvula y permita que el gas fluya por el soplete sin intentar
encenderlo.
4. Para ajustar la dirección de la llama, sujete la carcasa y gire el tubo del
quemador a la posición que desee como se muestra en la imagen del
modelo AL30. (Modelo AL30 solamente)
5. Para obtener la llama más caliente y eficaz, ajuste la perilla de control
hasta que aparezca una llama azul brillante de 1 pulgada (2.54 cm) de
largo.
6. NO utilice el soplete con el cilindro de combustible inclinado a más de
60° de su posición vertical, ya que puede hacer estallar el soplete.
ADVERTENCIAS ADICIONALES
1. Asegúrese de que el soplete esté frío antes de encenderlo o retirar el
cabezal del quemador, o antes de instalar o retirar accesorios.
2. Revise todas las uniones y los acoplamientos periódicamente para
asegurarse de que no haya conexiones flojas. Con la válvula abierta, sin
encender, pruebe todas las conexiones con agua jabonosa. Si aparecen
burbujas, existe una fuga de gas y se debe reparar el soplete. NO USE

3. En climas fríos, el tamaño de la llama será más pequeño. Para producir
una llama más grande, lleve el cilindro a temperatura ambiente antes de
usarlo.
4. Como característica de seguridad, el tubo del quemador puede doblarse
o desconectarse rápidamente si se deja caer el soplete, en cuyo caso se
debe reemplazar el soplete.
ALMACENAMIENTO
RETIRE EL CILINDRO DEL SOPLETE CUANDO NO LO UTILICE.
1. APAGUE la válvula del soplete.
2. Cuando el soplete esté frío, desconecte el cilindro y almacene el soplete
y el cilindro por separado y lejos del alcance de los niños. Observe las
precauciones que se encuentran en la etiqueta del cilindro.
3. No exponga los cilindros a temperaturas mayores que 120 ºF (49 ºC).
4. Almacene los cilindros en áreas bien ventiladas.
