INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

WARNING: READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS AND OTHER WARNINGS BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO INSTALL THIS

STOCK ON YOUR FIREARM

1. With the rifle pointing in a safe direction and your fingers outside the trigger guard, remove the magazine, open the bolt

and both visually and by touch, make certain there is not a cartridge in the chamber.

2. Allow the bolt to close.

3. If so equipped, loosen the barrel band screw and remove the barrel band. The barrel band will not be used with the

installation of your BLACKHAWK! stock.

4. Remove the screw located on the bottom side of rifle and set it aside as it will be used with your BLACKHAWK! Stock.

5. Position the safety so that an equal amount of the button is exposed on each side of the receiver. If the safety is not in the

middle when the barrel-receiver assembly is lifted out of the stock, the stock will be damaged.

6. Keeping your hand away from the muzzle, grasp the barrel and swing the barrel-receiver assembly upward and forward

(away) from the forearm of the stock.

7. Be careful the two receiver cross pins and bolt stop pin do not fall out.

8. Prior to stock installation, remove spacer located in stock receiver opening. Install the barrel-receiver into your

BLACKHAWK! Stock by following, in reverse order, Steps 1-7 while making sure that once again the safety button is

centered within the receiver and that the Receiver or “Action” Lug seats properly into the corresponding recess within the

BLACKHAWK! Stock. Re-install factory stock bolt and tighten. (fig. 8a, 8b)

9. To adjust stock length, grasp and squeeze rear adjustment lever (fig. 9). While squeezing adjustment lever, slide rear

portion of stock to desired length and release lever. Locking pin will automatically engage or “click” into nearest

corresponding locking hole. To ensure engagement of locking pin, push or pull on rear portion of stock. NOTE: The

shortest length setting on the stock is specifically designed for youth sized hands. Larger adult hands will make

contact with the rear portion of the stock at the shortest setting.
