Failure to properly remove the XR hubnut
from the balancer shaft may result in its
premature wear, damage to its threaded
jaw/internal diameter and/or even the
balancer shaft.
To prevent premature wear and to extend its ser-
vice life, use the following techniques when remov-
ing the XR hubnut.
Releasing XR Hubnut
1. First, manually unscrew the XR hubnut one full
turn, figure 1.

2. Next, press the release to retract the threaded
jaw inside the XR hubnut, figure 2.

Sliding XR Hubnut
3. Now, hold the release and slide the XR hubnut
off the balancer shaft.
Important: Before removing or installing the XR
hubnut, be sure the threaded jaw is fully disengaged
by pressing and holding hubnut release, figure 3.
