COATS 9010 Mod Kit - Manual

These are instructions for replacing the clamp covers on a 9010
to increase the outside rim clamping to include a 22-inch rim.
Tools required: 8mm Ball End Allen Wrench
Red Loctite
Miscellaneous Tools, Hammer, Handle for Allen
Wrench, Wire Brush
1. Clean off table top with wire brush and remove any plastic
booties from clamps.
2. Cycle clamps to their outward position.
3. Remove air pressure supply and bleed system to zero
pressure.
4. Rotate table until one clamp is toward the front.
5. Remove the inflate hose from the clamp and lay aside.
6. Remove any dirt from in the screw socket. Using the 8mm
ball end allen wrench with an extension, remove the clamp from
the slide and discard the screw (Figure 1).
7. Remove the clamp slide cover from the carrier and discard.

8. Position a new slide cover over the slide carrier (Figure 3).
9. Install a flat head screw (supplied) through the slide cover
into the clamp.
10. Use a small amount of red loctite on the screw and
tighten 18-20 ft. pounds with the 8mm allen wrench.
11. Position the clamp at the outboard hole on the slide and
use the new shorter socket head screw with a small amount of
red loctite (Figure 4).
12. Tighten the screw 30-40 ft. pounds with the ball end
8mm allen wrench.
13. Reinstall the air flate hose.
14. Rotate the table for the next clamp assembly and repeat
the steps.
15. When all clamp covers have been replaced, reconnect
the air supply to the machine.
16. First, listen for any leaks and cycle machine several
times. After allowing Red Loctite to dry per manufacturer’s
recommendations, change a tire on the machine to assure a
quality job.
