Spring Loaded Position Buttons

Installation

1. Unpack components.

2. Clean any debris from existing clamps, clamp carrier, and

slides to make replacement easier.

3. Remove the existing clamps by (refer to figure 1):

A. Depressing the large end of the spring loaded position
button with a finger through the large access hole on the
side of the clamp. At the same time depress the opposite
end of the pin with a small tool such as a valve core tool or
small screwdriver through the small access hole on the
opposite side of the clamp.

B. Slide the clamp off the clamp carrier.

4. Clean and lubricate the clamp carriers and slides as

instructed in the maintenance section of the machine’s Operator
Manual.

5. Install an Extended X-Clamp as follows (refer to figure 2):

A. Be sure the clamp is properly oriented on the table top—
open side of clamp jaw “V” toward center of table top.

B. Be sure the spring loaded position button is properly ori-
ented in the clamp carrier. If not, the clamp will be loose
after installation.

C. Compress both sides of the spring loaded position pin
and slide the clamp onto the carrier and over the pin until it
locks into position.

6. Repeat step 5 for the remaining Extended X-Clamps.

7. Be sure all four Extended X-Clamps are in the same posi-

tion before attempting to secure a tire-wheel assembly.

Usage

1. Depress the spring loaded position button with a finger,

through the large access hole in the side of the clamp. Slide the
clamp to the desired position for the wheel diameter about to
be secured.

2. Be sure all four Extended X-Clamps are in the same posi-

tion before attempting to secure a tire-wheel assembly.
