Prior to making a connection, read and follow the full instruction sheet IPRLBR, the
full instruction sheet IPP, the full instruction sheet shipped with ERICO CADWELD
(IPX) and special instructions below.
For better fit of mold to rail, rub mold along rail.

Strip 2" [50.8 mm] length of insulation off end of cable.

Mark cable 1.5" [38 mm] from end, place mold on cable and rail with mark

even with side of mold. If a cable sleeve is required, let the conductor protrude
0.13" [3 mm] beyond end of sleeve.
Hold mold to rail or use large clamp as an option.

Pack all openings between mold and rail which may leak molten metal with

mold sealant material from ERICO (ERICO Part Number T403).
Follow standard welding procedures.
