This guide outlines the setup and configuration of your Ion® Remote Processor Unit (RPU). For
information on using the Ion software installed on your RPU, please refer to the Ion Operations Manual
that shipped with your Ion console or you may download it from our website at
www.etcconnect.com .
The Ion RPU can be used as a primary, backup, or client processor in an Ion or 2k Gio system. It can
also be used for independent playback applications. Ion RPU ships with the following:

Hardware Setup
Rear Panel
Step 1: Attach the appropriate IEC power cord to the power connector, then to the IEC receptacle.
Step 2: Connect any monitors to the proper ports on the back of the RPU.
Step 3: Connect the USB mouse and keyboard to the USB connectors.
