Overview

The following procedure describes how to install an aperture into a Source Four 26 degree EDLT. The
aperture is used to improve performance by reducing flare with Source Four and Source Four LED
fixtures.

Opening the Lens Tube

To install the aperture, you must first open the lens tube.

Step 1:

Place the lens tube on its side on a smooth surface.

Step 2:

Remove the 4 screws and barrel knob. For CE lens
tubes also remove the retaining screw assembly.

Step 3:

Carefully separate the lens tube halves. Ensure that
the lens and lens pads remain in the bottom half.
Set the top half without the lens to the side.

Aperture Installation

Step 4:

Place the aperture in the
first slot directly behind the
rear lens. Orient the
aperture so that its flat
sides are against the sides
of the bottom half of the
lens tube. It does not
matter which side of the
aperture is facing the lens.

Step 5:

Make sure the bottom
cutouts of the aperture are
around the circular posts
behind the lens.

Step 6:

Carefully combine the two
halves of the lens tube,
making sure that the gel
retainer clip, lens, aperture,
and lens pads are lined up
properly.

Step 7:

Reattach the screws and
barrel knob, and for CE
tubes, the retaining screw
assembly.

The cutouts on the aperture will be at the top

and bottom, and the flat areas will be against

the sides of the bottom lens tube.
