APPLICATION

Flex TPO Weathered Membrane Cleaner may be used to remove construction dirt or to prepare aged Flex
TPO Plus membrane prior to welding. The aged membrane procedure should be utilized when simply
wiping off the membrane with a wipe saturated with the Weathered Membrane Cleaner is not sufficient to
produce an effective weld. Typically, the membrane may be welded up to 6 months to a year with the
standard cleaning method; however, each project will vary due to differences in exposure to UV and dirt.

A. REMOVAL OF CONSTRUCTION DIRT:

1. Saturate clean natural fiber (cotton) rag with Flex TPO Weathered Membrane Cleaner.

2. Wipe the area to be cleaned with a rap until the membrane is a consistent color with no

streaking and allow to dry.

3. Weld the cleaned material together with an appropriate hot air welder.

B. WELDING AGED MATERIAL:

1. Using a Scotch Brite pad and Flex TPO Weathered Membrane Cleaner, scrub the area to be

welded. (The cleaner will become white with membrane residue during this step of the
procedure).

2. Clean all residue from the area to be welded with a clean natural fiber (cotton) rag.
