STORAGE
When stored outdoors, all material should be protected from exposure to direct sunlight using an opaque
light-colored tarp or the original packaging. Material that has been unwrapped should be carefully
rewrapped.

COAL TAR PITCH ROOF SYSTEMS
Flex Green Guard PB6W Fan Fold can be installed directly over existing coal tar roof systems if the roof
has not been resaturated within the previous 4 years (otherwise use a polyethylene separator sheet
between the Flex Green Guard PB6W and the existing roof system.) In addition, the new roof system
must be designed to limit the maximum coal tar temperature to 110°F to prevent volatiles from escaping
from the existing system and attacking the Flex Green Guard PB6W. The design temperature at the
surface of the Flex Green Guard PB6W installed over existing coal tar pitch roofs shall not exceed 165°F
during installation or use.

WARNING
Although Flex Green Guard PB6W Roofing Recovery Board contains a flame retardant additive intended
to inhibit a small source fire, it, like most commercially available plastic foam insulations, is combustible
and should not be exposed to flame or other ignition sources. This material may constitute a fire hazard if
improperly used.
