8. Flask supports

The flask supports make flask (1) removal
(even filled) an easy job for one person.

3. Uninstall flask: Engage drive lock. Slide

support pipes (4) to flask (1) from both
sides. Check for firm contact and lock
support pipes in place by tightening
thumbscrews (5) CW. Unscrew large
coupling ring (3, not shown) by turning
CCW. Tilt flask neck with large coupling
ring (3) forward. Remove flask carefully
(coupling ring to remain on flask).

4.

Install flask: Engage drive lock. Move
support pipes (4) (both sides) to the
respective flask size mark (center of
thumbscrew = mark). Mark I = 10 l flask;

mark II = 20 l flask. Lock support pipes in place by tightening thumbscrews (5) CW. Put
flask (1) , holding large coupling ring (3), on support pipes carefully. Swing flask axis with
coupling ring in-line with axis of rotation, until flange is centered in drive head. Secure
PTFE-adapter (not shown) with PTFE-O-ring tight by CW turn. Double-check for firm seat.
Return support pipes to initial position (7). Release drive lock. Caution: Basic position of
support pipes is monitored by the electronic circuit; when leaving this position, all electric
functions of the system will freeze.
This situation is reported by the Flask Support LED on the control panel.

Before starting the rotation, disengage the blocking device.

22. Water refill (water bath only)

The LABOROTA 20 eco features a water refill system.

The water feed consists of 2 components:

Overflow tube with drain device (10)

Water feed valve with water connection and feed tube (11)

Fasten a suitable hose (dia. = 8 mm, temperature-resistant up to 100°C) securely to the hose
shaft of the drain device (12) using a hose clamp. Place the end of the hose in a sufficiently
large catch tank (13) or water overflow basin. In so doing, make absolutely sure that the end
of the hose is at a lower level than the hose shaft so that excess water can flow off.

Connect the water feed valve to the water supply line using a pressure resistant water hose,
and secure the hose at the hose shaft (14) using hose clamp.
