STEP 1 -

The Quick Pac Rack can be mounted on the driver or

passenger side of the truck bed. Choose now. The front upright

support bracket will be bolted to the front bulkhead (two bolts on

either side of the upright) and into the side stake pocket (one bolt)

of the truck bed. The height of this bracket should be adjusted so

that the backing plate can be drawn tightly against the flat surface

of sheet metal of the bulkhead (see drawing ). Mark (be sure the

plate is level) and drill

ONLY TWO holes in the front bulkhead

which match up to the holes in the backing plate, and

ONE in the

side located at approximately the center of the stake pocket.

STEP 2 -

Before bolting the front bracket to the truck, insert the upright support into the bracket. Set the bracket and

the upright into position. There may be ribs in the floor of the truck bed. Make certain that the foot on the bottom of the

upright is setting securely on the rib(s). If not, remove the upright from the bracket, rotate 90 degrees, and try again.

After determining the "best footing",

CHECK UNDERNEATH THE TRUCK BED TO MAKE CERTAIN

THAT THERE ARE NO OBSTRUCTIONS, BRAKE LINES, GAS TANKS, ETC. BENEATH THE

FOOT PLATE!

Locate and mark two spaced mount holes on the upright foot. Remove the upright and drill

the mount holes.

STEP 3 -

The rear upright bracket will be bolted to

the vertical face (inside face or forward face) of the inner

bed wall around the rear stake pocket. With the rear

upright inserted and plumb, locate the bracket flange so that the

holes are at the approximate center of the stake pocket, as high as

possible so that the bolt ends and nuts will be accessible. Mark and

drill the inner bed wall at the stake pocket.

STEP 4 -

Insert the front and back uprights into the upright supports. Secure using set

screws . Insert the adjustable arms into the uprights and select the desired width. Secure

using set screws . Locate ladder stop and secure to upright arm using set screw .

Tighten everything down and....

THAT'S IT,

you're ready to load and go!

Before bolting the rear upright bracket to the

truck, insert the upright support into the

bracket. Set the bracket and the upright into

position. Determine the best unobstructed

footing as described above. Locate and

mark two mount hole locations on the

upright foot (center on the peaks or valleys

of the truck bed ribs). Remove the upright

and drill the mount holes.
