Interconnect hood and exhaust fan with duct constructed, installed and isolated from any
“combustible” or “limited combustible” surfaces in accordance with NFPA 96 and all
applicable local codes.
If hood is an “energy saving” or “tempered air” hood with supply air plenum, interconnect
hood and supply fan with duct in accordance with local codes. Insulate ductwork and
install balancing and/or control dampers as desired or as required by local codes.
Install U.L. Listed fire extinguishing system in accordance with NFPA 96 and all
applicable local codes.
AIR BALANCE
For satisfactory system performance, the hood fan(s) must be balanced by qualified
personnel. Refer to separate KEES Balancing Manual Form # BALM for additional
information.
OPERATION, MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Operate, inspect, clean and maintain the hood, duct(s), fan(s) and fire extinguishing
system in accordance with NFPA 96, local health and safety codes, and instructions
supplied with any of the system components.
Hood filters, all hood surfaces, ductwork and fans should be cleaned frequently to
prevent excessive grease accumulation.
The fire extinguishing system should be tested periodically as recommended by the
manufacturer and in accordance with NFPA 96 and all applicable local codes.
WARRANTY
KEES warrants the hood(s) and all hood components supplied for a period of 1 year
from date of shipment to be without defects in material and workmanship. Any unit(s)
which prove to be defective during the warranty period will be repaired or replaced at
KEES option when returned to our factory, freight prepaid. KEES will not be responsible
for any removal or installation costs.
