STEP 2
Remove the mirrors from the hand controls as outlined in the service manual.
Ensure the area of installation is free of grease, oil, dirt or other
debris including wax/polish products and bugs to ensure proper
adhesion. Küryakyn WILL NOT issue a warranty on any parts lost due
to improper installation.
STEP 3 Thoroughly clean the front side (PIC 1) of both mirrors with soapy water and a
clean rag. Dry completely. Wipe the mirrors with the included alcohol pads to
remove any residue.
STEP 4 Test fit one of the Flamed Mirror Accents to the back of one of the mirrors. PIC 2
Make any reference marks with a non-permanent marker or masking tape.
The adhesive will not bond correctly if applied at temperatures less
than 50°F. Do not attempt this installation in temperatures less than
50°F.
STEP 5
Rub the adhesive backing with your fingernail to activate the adhesive. Remove
the backing, and using any reference marks made in Step 4, attach the Flame
Mirror Accent to the front of the mirror. PIC 3 Press in place for one minute. Full
bonding will occur in 24 hours.
NOTE: If the motorcycle is to be operated before the 24 hour cure time
has expired, use a good quality masking or painter’s tape over the
Accent to assist in holding the Accent in place until the cure time
is over.
STEP 6 Repeat Steps 4 and 5 for the other mirror.
STEP 7 Install the mirrors back on the motorcycle as outlined in the service manual.
STEP 8 Adjust the mirrors for proper view before riding the motorcycle.
Use care when cleaning or adjusting the mirrors after installation. The
flame fingers of the mirror cover may catch on cleaning material, riding
apparel or skin causing injury.
It is the installer’s responsibility to ensure that all of the fasteners (including
pre-assembled) are tightened before operation of the motorcycle. Küryakyn will
not provide warranty coverage on products or components lost due to improper
installation or lack of maintenance. Periodic inspection and maintenance are
required on all fasteners.
