Avoid damage to the motorcycle. Protect painted surfaces with a soft
cloth or blanket.
STEP 2
On the inside of the rear fender, remove the two bolts that secure the taillight bar.
Be sure you have a towel or rag to cover the rear fender (painted surface). Set the
bolts aside for reinstallation of the light bar.
STEP 3
Gently push the rubber grommet out of the fender from the back. Leave it attach
to the wire harness, you will eventually route the filler panel light in this grommet.

On the backside of the new filler panel, loosen the two outer fasteners clips. PIC 2
Rotate these clips to the center of the light. Leave a little tension on the clips so
they do not rotate around while installing the panel to the light bar. These clips are
used to secure the filler panel to the light bar.
STEP 5
While holding the light bar, take the new turn signal filler panel and route the
wires down the back side of the light bar and through the grommet hole in the
fender. Place the filler panel on top of the light bar and gently slide it towards the
front side of the bar (or away from the fender). Make sure the panel is spaced
evenly on the light bar. With masking tape, make marks necessary to aid
alignment of the new filler panel. Make sure the corners of the filler panel will not
hit the fender when the turn signal bar is reinstalled to the rear fender
STEP 6
Clean the light bar with the supplied alcohol pad.
Ensure the area of installation is free of grease, oil, dirt or other
debris including wax/polish products and bugs to ensure proper
adhesion. Küryakyn WILL NOT issue a warranty on any parts lost
due to improper installat ion.
STEP 7 Once you have your marks you need for the final installation, remove the filler
panel. Rub the tape backing on the backside of the filler panel with your fingernail.
The adhesive will not bond correctly if applied at temperatures less
than 50°F. Do not attempt this installation in temperatures less than
50°F.
STEP 8 Remove the backing and line up marks made in STEP 5. Make sure the corners of
the filler panel will not contact the fender when the turn signal bar is fully
tightened. When positioned, press firmly down on the panel for one full minute.
Full bonding will happen in 24 hours.
STEP 9 On the new turn signal filler bar, slide the fastener clips over to lock the filler bar
to the taillight bar. PIC 3 Tighten the two button head cap screws that secure the
fastener clips.
STEP 10 Identify the two screws (PIC 4) that secure the stock license plate bracket and
remove them. Set them aside, you will reuse this hardware with the new bracket.
Set the stock bracket aside, it will not be reused.
STEP 11 Take the new Back Plate (PIC 5) and secure it to the light bar with the screws that
were removed in Step 3.
STEP 12 Take the wire from the new turn signal filler panel and route it next to the other
wire that goes through rubber grommet. Press the rubber grommet back in to
place from the outside of the fender. You may have to wiggle the grommet into the hole by
grabbing it on the inside of the fender. PIC 6
STEP 13 Let the wire rest on the floor; reinstall the stock rear taillight bar with the hardware that was
removed in Step 2. Tighten securely.
