INSTRUCTIONS

AUTO SAFETY SHUT-OFF WITH MANUAL RESET

This heater is equipped with a patented, technologically
advanced safety system that requires the user to reset the
heater if there is a potential overheat situation. When a
potential overheat temperature is reached, the system will
automatically shut the heater off. It can only resume oper-
ation when the user resets the heater.

TO RESET THE HEATER:

1. Unplug the heater and wait 10 minutes for the unit to

cool down.

2. After the 10 minutes, push the RESET button.

3. Plug the unit in again and operate normally.

TIP-OVER PROTECTION:

When the heater is accidentally knocked over, it will automati-
cally shut off. To reset, simply place the heater in an upright
position. Press the mode button and operate normally.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

1. Carefully remove your heater from the box. (Please save

the carton for off-season storage.)

2. Insert the right portion of the metal base tubing into the

left portion of the metal base tubing, and push togeth-
er until the 3 screw holes line up. (See Figure 1).

3. Make sure the power cord comes straight out of the

hole in the middle of the base without obstructing the
channels on the bottom of the base.

4. Place the assembled metal base tubing in the channels

on the bottom of the base. (See Figure 2).

5. Secure metal tubing to the base with the three screws provided.

PRE-OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Make sure the unit is in the OFF position before plug-

ging the heater into the outlet.

2. Place heater on firm level surface.

3. Avoid overloading your circuit by not using other high

wattage appliances in the same outlet.

NOTE: This unit is for FLOOR USE ONLY.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Set the heat selector switch to the

OFF position.

2. Plug in heater.

3. For heater operation, turn heat

selector knob on the back of the
unit to LOW or HIGH, depending on
your heat setting preference.

NOTE: The POWER light will remain lit
during operation.

NOTE: Check to be sure that there are no objects between
you and the heater. Such objects will absorb the heat and
prevent it from reaching you.

NOTE: The parabolic design of the reflector focuses heat
at people and objects located 3 to 10 feet in front of the
heater. Therefore, to fully enjoy the sun-like warmth pro-
duced by the heater, it must be positioned at least three
feet from you. Placing it closer is not recommended. Try
different positions until you find the optimal one for you.

CLEANING/MAINTENANCE

DURING SEASON CARE:
1. Always unplug the heater before cleaning.

2. Clean the unit with a soft cloth moistened with a mild

soap solution.

3. NEVER use abrasive or flammable solvents to clean the unit.

4. To clean parabolic reflector dish we recommend the

use of a thin brush. This brush can be inserted through
the front grill in order to move any dust or debris to the
lower edge of the reflector dish. DO NOT REMOVE THE
GRILL. Use a vacuum to remove dust or debris from
the outer edge of the reflector dish.

5. After cleaning, be sure to completely dry the unit with

a cloth or towel.
