Locate and install the two (2) PLATE-TRUSS, P/N
171642. Secure them with four (4) 1/2-13 x 4-1/2”
hex head cap screws oriented from the front,
rearward. Secure the screws loosely with 1/2-13 hex
lock nuts.
a.
Readjust the hydraulic hose connected to the rod
end of the machine lift cylinder so that it does not
interfere with the truss plate (See Figure 1-8).

Install P/N 173539, TRUSS-FRAME, LH.
a.
Position P/N 173539 over the left front tube of
the frame with the tube between the two truss
plates.
b.
Secure the weldment in place with six (6) 1/2-13
x 4-1/2” hex head cap screws oriented from the
front, rearward. Secure the screws loosely with
1/2-13 hex lock nuts.
10. Install P/N 173540, TRUSS-FRAME, RH. Install and
secure the weldment in the same manner as the
frame truss was installed on the left hand side.
11. Install BRACE-RH SIDE, P/N 173174 on the right
hand side of frame.
a.
Remove any zip ties securing the light harness in
the area where the weldment will attach to the
frame.
b.
If the machine has a scraper package loosen the
fifth, sixth, and seventh from the outside scrapers
(do not need to be removed). Slide them
downward to make room to get the weldment
into position.
c.
The BRACE-RH SIDE, P/N 173174 must be
positioned from the lower side of the frame
upward into the frame.
d.
Secure the front plate of the weldment with ten
(10) 5/8-11 x 6 hex head cap screws. Secure the
screws with 5/8-11 hex lock nuts loosely. Do not
tighten these screws at this time.
e.
Secure the rear portion of the weldment by
positioning the PLATE-REAR MOUNT, P/N
173532 on the upper surface to the rear frame
tube just above the corresponding plate of the
weldment.
f.
Secure the plates with five (5), 5/8-11 x 6 hex
head cap screws (See Figure 1-9). Orient the
screws from the bottom upward. Secure the
screws with 5/8-11 hex lock nuts.
g.
Secure the light harness as needed.
h.
Readjust the scrapers that were loosened.
