Leica CM3600 XP – Cryomacrotome

When inserting the specimen stages, bear in mind the following:

Prior to sectioning, the specimen stage should have been stored
inside the cryochamber for at least 24 hours, to make sure it has the
correct sectioning temperature (approx. -20 °C).

To mount the entire block (specimen block on specimen stage) onto
the sledge, first bring the knife holder to its upper limit position. For
further information, refer to chapter 6.4.5.

The total height of the specimen stage plus specimen block must not
exceed 70 mm.

Since there is a considerable risk of injury when inserting the specimen
stage/block, please observe the following safety measures:

Prior to any work involving the knife, microtome or inside the
cryochamber, activate the emergency stop switch. For further
information, refer to chapter 3.4.1.

Prior to any work involving the knife, microtome or inside the
cryochamber, swing the knee lever upwards. For further
information, refer to chapter 3.4.2.

For any work involving the knife, microtome or inside the
cryochamber, wear the special protective gloves provided.
For further information, refer to chapter 5.2. "Standard
delivery"
