CS7060 STOW SAW — SLH AND BATTERY

To install the battery on the saw, make sure that the battery is
properly clamped into the battery box. Connect the positive cable
to the positive terminal on the battery first, then connect the
negative cable to the negative terminal.

Use all safety precautions specified by the battery
manufacturer when working with the battery. See further
specific safety information on page 18 of this manual.

Battery Setup

This saw was shipped with a wet charged battery, (Figure 23).
This battery may need to be charged for a brief period of time as
per the manufacturer instructions.

Stay-Level Handlebars (SLH)

This saw incorporates a unique handlebar design that allows
the handlebars to maintain a level height position regardless of
the attitude of the saw. Along with this, the height of the
handlebars can be adjusted for individual operator providing for
more comfortable operation.

To adjust the handlebar height adjustment:

1.

Loosen the SLH Linkage Adjustment Plate bolts. (Figure
22.)

2.

Set the handlebars to the desired height.

3.

Tighten the SLH Linkage Adjustment Plate bolts.

The SS7060 Saw uses 2 positive battery cables
and 2 negative battery cables. One set is for the
starter on the engine and the other set is for the
raise/lower pump assembly. Make sure that both
sets of cables are connected to the battery.

Flammable, explosive gas. (produces
hydrogen gas while charging or during
operation). Keep area around battery
well ventilated and keep from any fire
source.

Shock or Fire due to electric short-
circuit. Disconnect battery cables
before inspecting electrical
system and never "spark" battery
terminals to test for charge.
