2. When used in a standalone configuration, this product

must be used with a Listed Direct Plug-In Power Unit

marked “Class 2” and rated at 9VDC, 1 Amp.

WARNING!

Before inserting the Power Adapter, verify that the power

on the unit is appropriate for your AC line voltage source.

3. To power the unit using a DC power source, prepare

a power cable using a two conductor insulated wire

(not supplied) with a 14 AWG gauge minimum. Cut the

power cable to the length required. Strip approximately

3/8 of an inch of insulation from the power cable wires.

Connect the power cables to the unit by fastening the

stripped ends to the DC power connector. Connect the

power wires to the DC power source. The Power LED

should indicate the presence of power.
Installation Procedure:

1. Configure the appropriate 10/100 DIP-Switch

settings.
2. Connect the RJ-45 port via a Category 5 or better

cable to a 10BASE-T or 100BASE-TX Ethernet device.

3. When using fixed fiber port models, connect the

appropriate multimode or single-mode fiber cable to

the fiber port of the installed module. It is important to

ensure that the transmit (Tx) is attached to the receive

side of the device at the other end and the receive (Rx)

is attached to the transmit side.

4. When using a 10/100 SFP model, insert the SFP

Fiber transceiver into the Port 1 SFP receptacle on the

10/100.

NOTE: The release latch of the SFP Fiber transceiver

must be in the closed (up) position before insertion.

About this Manual:

This document supports revision “3.x” of the FlexPoint

10/100. Please refer to the serial number label on

the FlexPoint 10/100 for the revision number of your

product.
Applying Power:

1. This product should only be used with Omnitron

supplied AC power supply model numbers 9113-PS

[US] or 9115-PS [Universal].

Switch Settings:
RJ-45 Crossover Switch

When the RJ-45 port is set to auto-negotiation, the

Auto-Crossover functionality is enabled and the RJ-45

Crossover Switch is disabled. When the RJ-45 port is

set to manual operation, the RJ-45 Crossover Switch

is enabled. The switch provides a convenient way to

connect to different devices and cables types.
UTP Auto/Man Switch

Setting the switch to “Auto” (factory default) enables the

RJ-45 port to automatically determine the speed and

duplex mode of the connected device. If the connected

device cannot provide the proper signal to indicate its

mode of operation, set the switch to “Man.”
UTP 10/100 Switch

When the “Auto/Man” switch is in “Man” position, the

“UTP 10/100” switch determines the speed of the RJ-45

port. When set to “100” (factory default), the RJ-45 port

will operate at 100 Mbps. When set to “10” the RJ-45

port will operate at 10 Mbps.
UTP FDX/HDX Switch

When the “Auto/Man” switch is in “Man” position, the

“UTP FDX/HDX” switch determines the duplex mode for

the RJ-45 port. When set to “FDX” (factory default), the

RJ-45 port operates in Full-Duplex. When set to “HDX”,

the RJ-45 port operates in Half-Duplex.
Fiber FDX/HDX Switch

Setting the “Fiber FDX/HDX switch to “FDX” sets the

fiber port to Full-Duplex (factory default). Setting the

“Fiber FDX/HDX switch to “HDX” sets the fiber port to

Half-Duplex.
