Mod Motor Additional Installation Instructions

1) Coil brackets are available from Power Grid Inc. www.powergridinc.com. The number is 586-

484-7185.

2) Use MSD plug wires PN 32823 with the Power Grid brackets

3) You must use your existing crank and cam connectors/pigtails. The mating 3 way

connector/terminals are provided. You must connect the crank pigtail (blue with black stripe
wire) to the red wire (pin A) on the main wire harness marked Mod Crank. The other wire goes
to pin B on the main wire harness marked Mod Crank and the shield goes to pin C.

4) You must connect the cam pigtail (blue with orange stripe wire (Mustang)) or (Dark Green

(Lightning) to the red wire (pin A) on the main wire harness marked Mod Cam. The other wire
(grey with red (Mustang)) or (light blue (Lightning) goes to pin B on the main wire harness
marked Mod Cam. If you decide to install a shield, connect it to pin C on the main wire
harness marked Mod Cam.

5) This kit uses the GM IAC motor for idle speed control. The IAC adapter can be purchased

from Power Grid (586) 484-7185, Precision Turbo & Engine (219) 996-7832 or Injection
Connection (215) 675-8515.

6) The Override Cam Sync Test box must be checked in the Operating Configuration tab.

7) The coil harnesses are marked for each coil. A quick reminder is that the red wire must go to

cylinders 1 & 8 on their respective banks.

8) UEGOR is used to detect the 36-1 missing tooth on the crank trigger wheel. The value needs to

be 28. If it is something other than this number, then there is a synchronization problem
between the cam and crank.
