INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

IP65 RATED/VR ACCESSORY - LF4LED

The IP65-rated/VR accessory should be attached after the
trim/light engine and plaster frame are installed in the ceiling.

Locating and pre-drilling the mounting holes:

1.

Pull the trim down and leave hanging from the springs
to locate the trim brackets (Fig. 1). Make small
reference marks to indicate the location of the trim
brackets.

2.

Re-insert the trim into the plaster frame by pushing upwards.
The reference marks should be just visible past the
reflector flange edge.

3.

Orient the metal ring so the holes avoid the trim bracket
locations (Fig 2). These places are where the mounting
screws will be installed, so make sure the ring is properly
positioned. Optional pre-drilling: using a 9/64” drill bit,
the marks can be pre-drilled to allow easier installation
of the IP65/VR accessory. Take caution not to damage
the reflector.

Ring installation:

1.

For the IP65 accessory: remove the adhesive backing
from the larger gasket and install to the ceiling, aligning
with the previously marked or drilled holes. This gasket
is not used for the VR accessory.

2.

Using a drill driver, insert one of the #8 self-tapping screws
directly through the ceiling material and into the plaster frame.
Do not completely tighten. Repeat for the remaining screws.
It is recommended to tighten all the screws equally to ensure
proper installation. The ring should be flush to the ceiling (Fig 3).
