Early shipments of S&S part #55-1050 SSW+ Ignition Installation Kit were shipped with a rubber data port connector
plug that does not insulate sufficiently, allowing a slight electric current flow between the connector pins. The original
plug could cause the ignition to use more electricity than normal, and could also cause the MIL (Malfunction Indicator
Lamp) to flash in an erratic fashion.

See Picture 1 to identify data port connector and plug. If the installation kit has a rubber data plug with no part number
on it, it should be discarded and replaced with a new plug. The correct replacement plug supplied by S&S will have
either #55-1022-S, or #72164-94 molded into the plug.

A replacement plug can be obtained from S&S by calling the Technical Department at 608-627-8324.
