CAUTION
If the exhaust mounting flanges are installed on the head pipes, make sure the flange is above the hole before you weld in the oxygen
sensor boss.
6- Weld the boss in place using stainless-steel filler rod. When it cools, run a M18 x 1.5 tap through the boss to verify that the threads were not
damaged or distorted during the welding process.
7- Install the oxygen sensors in each pipe and torque them to 30-44 ft-lbs.
NOTE: New oxygen sensors come with a high-temperature lube applied to the threads. If an oxygen sensor is being reused, be sure to use a high-
temperature lubricant that is safe for oxygen sensors on the threads.
8- Install the head pipes back onto the motorcycle and plug the oxygen sensors into the S&S® EFI wire harness oxygen sensor connectors.
NOTE: The longer oxygen sensor lead on the S&S EFI wire harness is for the front oxygen sensor. Consult the wiring diagram in the back of these instructions
for more information.
