Installation Instructions
Thank you for selecting Salsbury’s 8400 (standard size) or 8500 (large size) security cage storage lockers. We are confident that the quality and
construction of the lockers will prove to be a good investment. These instructions are intended to assist you in assembling the lockers. The lockers
should then be installed and anchored to the floor, wall, or to both. Individual job conditions will dictate the type of anchor fasteners.
STANDARD SIZE (5 compartments)
#8400 - 18"W x 72"H x 18"D, 140 lbs.
Preliminary Note
Please read the complete assembly instructions before attempting to
assemble the lockers. Check the materials to be sure that they are
correct for the job and that there is no damage.
Use ¼” – 20 X ¾” long screws all around with screw heads on the
outside Lockers should be assembled individually as indicated in the
order of the drawings.
The essential tools required for assembling the lockers are a phillips
head screw driver and a pair of pliers. The lockers should be
assembled on a flat level surface and installed in position, anchoring
to the floor or wall, as required.
Assembly Overview
Fasten the compartment shelves to the pair of sides (right/left) using
shelf supports that bolt to the shelf on the outside of the wire mesh
with three screws, large washers, and nuts that go through the wire
mesh. Place the back against the two sides and screw through the
back and the upright posts on the inside of the cage locker.
Bolt the top on. The bottom is identical and should have the flanges
down. Place and secure the door to the hinges and bolt in place.
Level the cage lockers and mount to the floor, or wall, as required.
