RE-ASSEMBLE PUSHBAR,
HOUSING, COVER AND END
CAP BEING CAREFUL NOT
TO DAMAGE THE WIRES ON
THE E. L. R. ASSEMBLY.

PATENT PENDING
Carefully remove the End Cap, End Cover, Device Housing and Pushbar. If present
in device, remove dogging. Replace existing spring with new SDC supplied spring.
Attach L. R. Assembly to Exit Device.

When installing in to vertical rod devices,
removal of the bottom rod is required for
proper operation of the Electric Latch
Retractor.
REPLACE EXISTING
SPRING WITH NEW
SPRING SUPPLIED
ELECTRIC LATCH
RETRACTION ASSEMBLY
ATTACH LINKAGE WHERE SHOWN.
USE 2 SUPPLIED SCREWS TO ATTACH
ELECTRIC LATCH RETRACTION
ASSEMBLY TO PHI EXIT DEVICE.
LINKAGE
LARGE END
TEMPORARILY REMOVE ELR
COVER TO INSTALL. AFTER ELR
IS INSTALLED, REPLACE COVER.
