TEMP° ALERT

FGD-0022

INSTRUCTIONS AND USAGE

Version 2.2

The Temp° Alert is used with any Sensaphone to detect high and low temperature limits. You

set the limits and Temp°Alert causes a dialout when the temperature reaches those limits.

NOTE: The Temp° Alert does not provide a remote temperature reading.

INSTALLING THE Temp° Alert WITH YOUR SENSAPHONE

1. Mount the Temp° Alert according to the enclosed manufacturer’s instructions.
2. Adjust the Temp° Alert high and low temperature arms for your application. (See

manufacturer’s instructions.)

3. Using 22-gauge wire (recommended), wire one of Temp° Alert’s front mounted terminals to

a dry-contact input on your Sensaphone. (The Temp° Alert is not polarity sensitive.)

4. Wire the other front-mounted terminal to a common (or ground) on your Sensaphone.
5. Configure the input as normally open (N.O.).

• For models 400, 800, 1104, 1108, 1400, 1800, 2800, StationSitter, and FarmSitter: Press

SET, then CONFIGURE to set normality.

• For models 4100 and Express: Reprogram the ID number to set normality.
• For Sensaphone 2000, Skymetry, SCADA 3000, WEB600, SAT4D and Express II:

Program the input type as normally open.

Consult your Sensaphone manual for further information and detailed instruction.

6. When the temperature reaches either the high or low limit set by the temperature arms, the

sensor will trigger an alarm.

Multiple Temp° Alerts

More than one Temp° Alert may be used on a single input. This is done by wiring the sensors

in parallel. See manufacturer’s insert for description and specifications.
