• Driveline vibrations can be caused from the addition or removal of the hardtop or other

accessories. This changes the rear height & weight of the vehicle, which affects the rear

driveshaft pinion angle. Skyjacker's adjustable eccentric upper cam-bolt kit (Part # CAM700)

will eliminate such vibrations by adjusting / rotating the rear pinion angle up or down as needed.

1. Secure & properly block the tires of the vehicle on a level

concrete or asphalt surface.

2. Raise the rear of the vehicle & support the vehicle with jack

stands.

3. Remove the rear tires / wheels.

4. Remove the OEM bolt from the rear upper control arm mounting

point on the axle & remove the control arm from the OEM axle

mounting bracket.

Note: The OEM mounting bracket is scribed so that it can be

made a slotted hole. Knock out the notches on the front &

rear half of the holes on each side of the OEM mounting bracket.

(See Arrows in Photo # 1)

5. Lower the upper rear control arm back into the OEM axle

mounting bracket. Install the new Skyjacker eccentric cam-bolt,

eccentric washers, & nut on each rear upper control arm. (See

Photo # 2) With the vehicle on the ground & the weight of the

vehicle on the tires, tighten the cam bolts.

Note: These bolts can

be rotated forward or backward to adjust the axle pinion angle to

eliminate driveline vibrations.

Caution: All control arm bushings & hardware must be tightened

at curb height. Failure to do so will result in a harsh ride &

reduced bushing life.
