Installation:
1. Park the vehicle on level ground & place the tires / wheels in a straight forward position. Set the emergency brake &
block the rear tires.
2. Remove the skid plate that is mounted between the cross member & the front bumper.
3. Remove the nuts behind cross member on the driver side of the vehicle. After removing the nuts, discard the washer
& place bracket (A) over the bolts. Install the OEM nuts & tighten securely.
4. Attach the body of the steering stabilizer to bracket (A) as shown in the picture, using the bushings & washers
provided.
5. Attach bracket (B) to the stabilizer as shown, using the bushings & washers provided. Extend the stabilizer shaft out
4” & place bracket (B) against the tie rod as shown. Attach using the u-bolts, washers, & nuts provided.
6. Turn the tires / wheels to full left. Remove bolt (C) & install from the rear of the cross member so the nut is in the
front.
7. Cycle the tires / wheels left to right & check all hardware for adequate clearance. Install the skid plate after all other
steps are completed (1982 & later models-it is necessary to reshape the skid plate before it can be installed).
8. Re-tighten all hardware after the first 100 miles & periodically there after.
