INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION

Compact Wall Sconce Series – QSPC

Consult Battery Wiring Diagram Included

WARNING

DISCONNECT POWER DURING INSTALLATION AND BEFORE SERVICING.

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETELY BEFORE STARTING INSTALLATION.

INSTALLATION-

1. Remove retaining screws (2) and open the door frame assembly (1).
2. Install lamp and replace the door frame assembly (1), then retaining screws (2).
3. Install the provided self-adhesive gasket to the back of the mounting plate (3), then install the Mounting plate

(3) on the junction box with screws.

4. Use approved connectors to connect fixture leads to supply leads, and make wire to be spliced inside the

junction box.

5. Put the fixture on the mounting plate (3), and retaining screws (4), also use silicone around housing (5) except

the bottom of the fixture.

This product must be installed in accordance with the applicable installation code by a person familiar with

the construction and operation of the product and the hazards involved.

This luminaire is provided with a factory installed emergency lighting pack and must be serviced by a person

familiar with the construction and operation of the product and the hazards involved.

4.

Danger risk of shock. Disconnect all power and disable the battery pack power before servicing ballast.

Replacement requires reconnection of wires that may be energized.

IMPORTANT-

1. An Un-switched AC power sources of 120VAC or 277VAC is required. If a switch fixture is used, an Un-switched hot lead must

be connected to the emergency ballast to ensure the ballast remains in an uninterrupted charge condition while primary power is
active. Reference wiring diagram for appropriate option. (Figure 4)

2. When installer connects the blue wire in Group A with 120V battery, then he/she should connect the black wire of 120VAC in

Group B for power input, Similarly when the installer connect the blue wire in Group A with 277V battery, he/she should connect
the black wire of 277VAC in Group B for power input accordingly.

3. To prevent high voltage from being present on output leads (Red & Yellow) prior to installation, inverter connector must be

opened. Do not join battery connectors until installation is completed and AC power is supplied to the emergency ballast. (Figure
3)

4. This emergency lighting has more than one power supply connection point, to reduce the rest of electric shock, disconnect both the

normal and emergency power feed supplies and battery connector of emergency ballast before servicing.

5. Don’t install this emergency lighting near gas or electric heaters. The battery is sealed, do not attempt to service the battery, it is

not serviceable, battery is rechargeable Ni-Cad type and must be recycled or disposed of properly.

6. Indicator (LED light) illuminated indicates battery in charge mode when AC power is applied. It is recommend and required by

applicable code to test emergency ballast to ensure proper function of the system; Push the test switch for thirty (30) seconds every
30 days to ensure the emergency ballast is functioning as evidenced by reduced illumination of one or two lamps. Conduct a ninety
(90) minutes discharge test one time per year; either one or two lamps should operate at reduced illumination for a minimum of
ninety (90) minutes. The emergency battery requires a charge minimum of one hour before testing the circuit. A full charge
requires twenty four (24) hours.

7. To weather-proof your outdoor installation, be sure to seal all housing. (Mounting, Conduit, Plugs, Etc.) with silicone sealant.

IF LIGHT DOES NOT WORK

: Check Your Power Source. Check Electrical Connections.

Check To Insure Proper Seating Of Lamp. Check If Lamp Burned Out.
