The rigid Pre-mitered 26 Corner Bead is designed to quickly create a "
square outside 3 way corner. The corner bead is longer then a standard
soffit so that it can be cut to fit and installed without any miter cuts. Each
box has enough pieces to finish 10 outside corners.
Step 1: Snip the back end of the bead to get your desired
length. At 26” long the pre-mitered beads will fit most
standard soffits. Step 2: Dry fit the bead into place to ensure accurate cuts
and nose placement. You want the nose of the bead to be
at the center of the outside 3 way.
Step 3: While holding your first bead into place, align your
second bead so the noses touch and you have a square 2
way corner. Step 4: You can place a few staples into your first 2 beads
to help hold them into place while you snip and dry fit your
third piece. Make sure all 3 beads form a square outside
corner.
Nose of the bead
Install Rigid & Rigid Jumbo Corner Bead with 847 Spray Adhesive and staple every 6”-8” with ” divergent ½
staples. For Mud Set Beads, install the beads with your preferred mud setting method. The first coat of mud
compound can be applied immediately.
