Preparation

Make sure basecoat is properly prepared, clean and rough and open for the finish. To avoid blistering, apply
to set and partially dry (damp) basecoat. If basecoat has dried, mist the surface with water to dampen before
applying finish.

Mixing

Brand Finish Plaster a pre-mix finish coat product that requires only the addition of water. Use a 16-gal.

or 30-gal. (60.6 to 113.6 L) smooth-sided container and a cage-type mixer paddle driven by a 1/2

Љ electric drill

with a no-load rating of 900-1,000 rpm to produce the rapid, high-shear action required to assure proper
dispersion of ingredients. Mix only as much as will be applied in one hour. Water must be clean, fresh, suitable
for domestic consumption and free of minerals and organic substances that can affect set. Add plaster to water
in the proportions described on the package, mixing as powder is added.

Application

Trowel apply to basecoat. Scratch in thoroughly, then immediately double-back to a thickness of not more than
1/16

Љ. Final trowel to a smooth, dense surface ready for decoration.

Cleanup

Clean mixing tools and containers immediately with water after use and before material has set. Any remaining
material on containers and tools may alter the setting time and performance of subsequent batches and will be
extremely difficult to remove after more time has passed.
