Instructions
This publication will guide you through installation of the 1336-JBxx
Junction Box kit. Refer to the appropriate drive User Manual for
detailed drive information.
Installation Using the following information and the Catalog Number Explanation
below, verify that you have the correct components.
• If the catalog number of your drive contains an “AA”
(i.e. 1336S-B030-AA-EN4), a junction box with a catalog number
that ends in “A” (i.e. 1336-JBBA) is required.
• If the catalog number of your drive contains an “AE”
(i.e. 1336S-B050-AE-EN4), a junction box with a catalog number
that ends in “E” (i.e. 1336-JBCE) is required.
• If the catalog number of your drive contains an “AN”
(i.e. 1336S-B030-AN-EN4), an Allen-Bradley Enclosure Kit and
corresponding junction box are required.

ATTENTION: The drive contains ESD (Electrostatic
Discharge) sensitive parts and assemblies. Static control
precautions are required when installing, testing, servicing
or repairing this assembly. Component damage may result
if ESD control procedures are not followed. If you are not
familiar with static control procedures, reference A-B
publication 8000-4.5.2, “Guarding Against Electrostatic
Damage” or any other applicable ESD protection handbook.

ATTENTION: To avoid a shock hazard, assure that all
power to the drive has been removed before proceeding. In
addition, verify that the DC bus has discharged by
measuring across the “+DC” and “–DC” terminals of TB1
with a voltmeter. The voltage should be 0.0VDC.
