Power Module Replacement

1. Using the instructions provided in the Troubleshooting Guide for

your drive (if available), remove the existing power module. Retain
screws and discard module.

2. Verify that the new replacement module has an ESD protection

device between the Emitter and Gate terminals.

Important:

If an ESD protection device is not present on the new
module DO NOT USE it! Contact the factory for a
replacement module.

3. Position the new module on the heatsink and insert screws

previously removed – finger-tighten only.

4. Initially tighten the screws to 0.68 N-m (6 lb.-in.) in the sequence

shown below. Tighten screws to a final torque of 3.62 N-m (32 lb.-
in.) using the same sequence.

5. Retain these instructions for future reference. Reverse the above

procedure if removal becomes necessary.
