scoops of black tea, or 3 scoops of herbal

or fruit teas. (1 scoop = 0.25 oz or one rounded
dessert spoon.) For green and speciality teas, follow
the recommendation of your tea retailer or see the
instructions on the BODUM

®

Tea package.

2. Pour in hot water. The maximum fill line is 4 cm

below the spout. An overfilled teapot will not pour
properly.

3. Place lid on pot with the plunger in the raised posi-

tion. Let tea brew. We recommend 3 – 5 minutes for
black teas, or 5 – 10 minutes for herbal or fruit teas.
For green and speciality teas, follow the recommen-
dation of your tea retailer or see the instructions on
the BODUM

®

-Tea package.

4. When tea has reached your preferred strength,

push the plunger down firmly. The tea is now
sealed in the base of the column, away from the hot
water. Brewing is stopped and your tea will remain
at its current strength.

You may speed up infusion if you wish by gently
moving the plunger up and down two or three
times. If using teabags, take care that they do not
become trapped between plunger and column wall.
Serve and enjoy.

Congratulations! You are now the proud owner

. Please

read these instructions carefully before using
your teapot for the first time.

The cast iron used to make this teapot has undergone
a special refining process to remove all impurities. In a
finishing process, the inside of your teapot received
a black matt enamel coating to prevent the formation
of rust.

Instructions for use

1. Please only use this teapot to prepare tea. The

teapot is supplied with a stainless steel filter and a
tea press system for the preparation of tea with
loose tea leaves.

2. Before using for the first time, rinse the inside of the

teapot with hot water. Pour the water away after-
wards.

3. After each use, the teapot should be stored in

a clean, dry condition to prevent the formation of
rust. If water remains in the teapot this may in time
corrode the enamel coating.

4. Very occasionally rust may still form, but you can

continue to use the teapot. Any rust inside the
teapot itself is not poisonous and presents no
danger to users.

5. Always use a coaster when placing the teapot on

a table.

6. The teapot and its lid are not dishwasher-proof.

Please clean these parts with a soft, damp cloth and
dry them well. Do not use any rough or abrasive
cleaning products or utensils. The stainless steel
filter can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
