INTRODUCTION

To get the best out of your new coffee
maker, please read through these
instructions carefully before using it for the
first time. Pay particular attention to the
safety measures. We also recommend that
you keep the instructions for future
reference, so that you can remind yourself of
the functions of the coffee maker.

SAFETY MEASURES

Normal use of the coffee maker
• Incorrect use of the coffee maker may

cause personal injury and damage to the
machine.

• Use the coffee maker for its intended

purpose only. The manufacturer is not
responsible for any damage resulting
from incorrect use or handling (see also
Guarantee Terms).

• The coffee maker may only be connected

to 230 V, 50 Hz.

• The coffee maker should never be

switched on unless there is water in the
reservoir or coffee in the coffee pot.

• Do not touch the hotplate.

• The coffee maker or cord must not be

placed in water or any other liquid.

• Never leave the coffee maker unattended

when in use and keep an eye on children.

• This coffee maker is not suitable for

commercial or outdoor use.

Positioning the coffee maker
• Always place the coffee maker at the

back of a kitchen counter and at a safe
distance from flammable objects such as
curtains, tablecloths or similar.

• Do not cover the coffee maker.

• Do not allow the cord to hang over the

edge of the counter, and keep it away
from hot objects and naked flames.

Cord, plug and mains socket
• Check regularly that the cord is not

damaged and do not use the coffee
maker if it is, or if the coffee maker has
been dropped or damaged in any other
way.

• If the coffee maker, cord or plug is

damaged, it must be inspected and, if
necessary, repaired by an authorised

or in an oven/microwave oven.
