Introduction Read this publication before rotating the connector housing on an
Allen-Bradley
® 1326AB Series Motor equipped with:
• An absolute high resolution feedback device.
Protecting the IP67 Rating and
Ensuring Warranty Coverage 1326AB motors with an IP67 environmental rating (-x2L suffix) are
factory tested to verify sealing to IEC 529 specifications. The IP67
rating (dust tight and protected against water entry at one-meter
temporary immersion) is invalidated if the connector housing is
removed in the field, whether for purposes of rotating the housing to
re-orient the connectors or for any other reason.
Should an installation require an alternate connector orientation, please
contact your local Allen-Bradley representative to order a high
resolution 1326AB motor with alternate connector orientation.

!
High resolution 1326AB motors lose their IP67
rating if the connector housing is removed or rotated
in the field.
Motor or component damage caused by or related to
the rotation of the connector housing will not be
covered under the manufacturer warranty.

1326AB high resolution feedback devices contains
ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) sensitive parts and
assemblies. Follow static control precautions when
you install, test, service, or repair this assembly.
Refer to Allen-Bradley publication 8000-4.5.2,
Guarding Against Electrostatic Damage or any other
applicable ESD Protection Handbook.
Failure to observe this precaution may result in
damage to the equipment.
