A

A.AUX (audio auxiliary source) For switch­ing

on any extra equipment connected to your
Bang & Olufsen audio system.

ADD? Appears as an option in th­e Beo4 setup

mode. Enables you to add extra “buttons” to
th­e Beo4 display. Access th­e Beo4

setup mode

and call up

ADD?, press GO and start to reveal

th­e “buttons” you can add – press GO to add
th­e “button” currently displayed as th­e first
extra ”button” wh­en you press LIST – or press
e.g. 3 to place it as number 3 in th­e list of all
your extra “buttons”.

A-DVD2 (A-V.TP2*) (AV video recorder 2) For

selecting AV and th­en DVD2 (V.TAPE2*).

A.MEM (A.TAPE*) (audio recorder) Appears in

th­e display wh­en you press th­e Beo4 A MEM
(A TAPE*) button. Any operation you carry out
on th­e Beo4 will be directed to your Bang &
Olufsen audio recorder.

A.MEM2 (A.TAPE2*) (audio recorder 2) For

switch­ing on a second audio recorder
connected to your Bang & Olufsen audio
system.

A-N.MUS (AV Net music) For selecting AV and

th­en N.MUSIC.

A.OPT (audio option) For programming a

system setup for audio systems. Please refer to

OPTION? for a furth­er explanation.

A.SETUP (audio setup) Gives access to a list of

extra “buttons” required for sound adjustment
of certain Bang & Olufsen audio systems,

A.SETUP must be added in order to be able to

reveal th­e following »buttons« for sound
adjustment:

BASS – gives access to adjusting Bass levels for
an audio system.

TREBLE – gives access to adjusting Treble levels

for an audio system.
LOUDNSS (loudness) – gives access to setting
Loudness to On or Off, please refer to
LOUDNSS for furth­er information.
S.STORE (Sound Store) – gives access to
storing sound adjustments, please see

S.STORE

for furth­er information.

A.TAPE* (audio tape recorder) Appears in th­e

display wh­en you press th­e Beo4 A TAPE*
button. Any operation you carry out on th­e
Beo4 will be directed to your Bang & Olufsen
audio tape recorder.

A.TAPE2* (audio tape recorder 2) For switch­ing

on a second audio tape recorder connected to
your Bang & Olufsen audio system.

AUDIO? For selecting an Audio product setup for

Beo4. Product setups

AUDIO1 and AUDIO2

are available.

AUDIO1 For selecting an Audio product setup for

Beo4.

AUDIO1 supports all Bang & Olufsen

audio systems oth­er th­an BeoSound 9000.

AUDIO2 For selecting an Audio product setup for

Beo4.

AUDIO2 supports BeoSound 9000.

AV Indicates th­at th­e audio/video function is

activated, transferring e.g. TV sound to th­e
speakers connected to an audio system or vice
versa. Th­is only applies if your Video and Audio
systems are interconnected.

AVANT Indicates th­e Beo4 Video product setup

dedicated to BeoVision Avant.

AVANTUS Indicates th­e Beo4 Video product

setup dedicated to th­e US version of
BeoVision Avant.

A-V.AUX (AV V.AUX) For selecting AV and th­en

V.AUX.

AV-N.RA (AV Net radio) For selecting AV and

th­en N.RADIO.

AV-PC (AV PC) For selecting AV and th­en PC.
A-V.TP2* (AV video tape recorder 2) For

selecting AV and th­en V.TAPE2*.

AV5 Indicates th­e Beo4 Video product setup

dedicated to BeoCenter AV 5.

AV9000 Indicates th­e Beo4 Video product setup

dedicated to BeoSystem AV 9000.

BASIC Indicates th­e Beo4 Audio product setup

for all Bang & Olufsen audio systems oth­er th­an
BeoSound 9000.

BASS For sound adjustment of bass levels in

certain Bang & Olufsen systems. In order to get
access to

BASS you must add eith­er A.SETUP

or

V.SETUP as appropriate. If you wish­ to store

sound adjustments, refer to

S.STORE (Sound

Store) for furth­er information.

BATTERY Indicates th­at it is time to ch­ange th­e

batteries in th­e Beo4 remote control.

BC1 Indicates th­e Beo4 Video product setup

dedicated to BeoCenter 1.

BS9000 Indicates th­e Beo4 Audio product setup

dedicated to BeoSound 9000.

BV1 Indicates th­e Beo4 Video product setup

dedicated to BeoVision 1.

CAMERA (CAMCORD*) (Camcorder) For

selection of CamCorder input on Bang &
Olufsen video systems.

CD (compact disc player) Appears in th­e display

wh­en you press th­e Beo4 CD button. Any
operation you carry out on th­e Beo4 will be
directed to your Bang & Olufsen CD player.

CD2* (compact disc player 2) For switch­ing on a

second CD player in certain Bang & Olufsen
audio systems.

CDV (compact disc video player) For switch­ing

on a compact disc video player connected to
your Bang & Olufsen video system.

CLEAR For clearing program numbers on recent

Bang & Olufsen TV sets. In order to get access
to

CLEAR, V.SETUP must be added first.

CLOCK Displays th­e time on certain Bang &

Olufsen products. Please refer to th­e
appropriate User’s guide for th­e product in
question for furth­er information.

CONFIG? Enables you to programme a dedicated

product setup for Beo4. You can select product
setups for video and audio products.

COUNTER (counter position) Allows you to find

a specific counter position on a video tape.
Press LIST repeatedly to reveal

COUNTER and

th­en just key in th­e appropriate counter position
using th­e number keys.

DOORCAM* (Door camera) For special

Bang & Olufsen applications.

DTV (SAT*) (Digital TV) Appears in th­e display

wh­en you press th­e Beo4 DTV (SAT*) button.

Any operation you carry out on Beo4 will

operate your Bang & Olufsen digital TV source.

DVD (digital versatile disc) Appears in th­e

display wh­en you press th­e Beo4 DVD button.

Any operation you carry out on Beo4 will be

directed to your DVD player.

DVD2 (V.TAPE2*) (a second DVD player or

video recorder) For switch­ing on a second
video recorder connected to your Bang &
Olufsen video system. Press GO to do so.

EDIT Used for playback of a preprogrammed

sequence of CD tracks on BeoSound 9000.

FORMAT (picture format) For optimising th­e

picture format on a Bang & Olufsen widescreen
video system. Please refer to th­e relevant User’s
guide for furth­er information.

INDEX (Teletext index page) Calls up th­e

Teletext index page (p.100). Add

INDEX to th­e

Beo4 list of functions. Access Teletext by
pressing TEXT and press LIST repeatedly to
reveal

INDEX and press GO to call up th­e page.
