Installation Instructions for Kit Number 1110-2519
Preparation:
1) Remove kit from packaging and inspect to insure that all parts are present and that the kit will fit the
vehicle. This mirror is intended for D-tab (Wedge tab) mirror mounts. Fits best on vehicles which have a
clip-on original mirror, some vehicles with screw on may have a flat surface on the Wedge tab which
will make it difficult to clip on. In this case it is recommended that a new D-tab is installed on the
vehicle.
2) Identify all tools that will be needed for the installation and place on work bench along side mirror
kit.
Installation:
3) Remove the existing mirror form the windshield (Figure A) (this is the most critical step of the entire
job). Depending on the type of existing mirror you may need a vehicle specific tool, Torx bit and or
screwdriver. Without proper tools it is very easy to damage/ break the windshield, we recommend that if
you are not comfortable with this that you drive your vehicle to a local glass company and have it
removed for you.
* Note: NEVER twist the mirror mount from side to side to try and wiggle it loose (this is the most
common way to crack your windshield).
4) Mount new mirror on to the windshield, the mirror will slide down and will clip into place (Figure
B). If the mirror that is being installed has built-in compass it may be easier if the compass Gyro is
unclipped from the mirror base and clipped back on after mirror is mounted (Figure C).

5) Route the wire harness across the windshield behind the headliner and down the A-pillar. It is easiest
if you completely remove the A-pillar cover in order to gain easy access to route your wires (Figure D).
6) Using a Computer Safe Test Light locate a true Ignition Circuit (12 V + when key is cycled to #2
position). Attach the + lead from the mirror to it, next connect your ground lead (it is best to use an
existing ground connection when possible) (Image E).
