Commercial Heavy Duty

Water Softener –

CWS200H

CWS200H

water softeners are suitable

for commercial applications ranging from

100,000 to 600,000 grains of hardness re-

moval capacity at flow rates up to 126 gpm.

Operation of the Softener

- Hard water contains dissolved

minerals in the form of Calcium (Ca), Magnesium (Mg), and
Iron (Fe). An ion exchange process accomplishes removal of
these minerals. As water flows through the mineral tank, the
dissolved minerals become attached to the resin. Over a pe-
riod of time the resin will become exhausted, and the softener
will regenerate using a brine solution.

Softening Media

- The exchange media is a high quality

strong acid softener (Cation) resin with high whole bead count,
no color throw, and is chlorine resistant. The media combines
high operating capacity with excellent chemical and physical
stability for a long dependable life.

Regeneration Controller

– These softeners feature the Watts

Enhanced Electronic controller. It combines simplicity with
flexibility in a user-friendly package that is easy to setup and
operate. . Fully adjustable cycle times with 6-cycle control
allows for application specific settings. A turbine flow meter
provides accurate flow measurement and allows for efficient
operation. The H series controllers have the option of includ-
ing the auxiliary system circuit board which allows up to four
units to be connected together for multiple tank applications.

Control Valve

- The Watts 2.0” Heavy Duty control valve

operates on command from the valve controller. A hydrauli-
cally balanced piston glides effortlessly along non-corrosive
spacers and seals to precise positions. The reliable and
proven DC drive performs in the toughest applications. The
lead free brass valve body is covered with an electro-statically
applied NSF/ FDA approved epoxy coating that resists corro-
sion and maintains a quality appearance over time. The 2.0” H
valves include a built in turbine meter for flow monitoring. This
feature reduces the cost, simplifies the installation, and saves
space.

Resin Tanks

– All models feature non-corrosive fiberglass

tanks, with a one-piece thermoplastic inner liner. The tanks
are approved by NSF, UL, FDA, and meet WQA standard
S-100.

Brine System

– The brine tank is made of tough, high-density

polyethylene. Brine tanks 24” in diameter and smaller feature
a grid plate for maximum saturation of brine. A high quality air
check prevents air from entering the system.
