Opening the Umbrella
The Umbrella opens like a common
rain umbrella. Figures 1– 4
1. Pull open the Velcro ® strap that holds the umbrella closed.

3. Push the slider up the post and the umbrella will open.
4. The umbrella will lock in place when the metal slider is
pushed over the metal locking tab on the post.
Securing the Umbrella to your Light
NOTE: Set up your light stand and light head in the manner
suggested by your equipments’ manufacturers.
Most light heads, head mounting clamps, and LiteStand mounts
will have a receptacle and locking mechanism for securing the
umbrella in front of the light. Figures 5 – 7

8. The black cover is fastened to the umbrella with end caps

9. Hold a rib with one hand while pulling the cap away from the
rib with the other hand.
10. Pulling off the black cover reveals the white shoot-through
umbrella beneath it.
