Installation Instructions

Need for Periodic Inspection/Maintenance: This product

must be tested periodically in compliance with local codes,

but at least once per year or more as service conditions

warrant. All products must be retested once maintenance

has been performed. Corrosive water conditions, inlet tem-

peratures over 200°F (93°C), and/or unauthorized adjustments

or repair could render the product ineffective for the service

intended. Regular checking and cleaning of the product’s

internal components helps assure maximum life and proper

product function.

1. Provide a 4

" (115mm) diameter wall opening in a vertical line

with the hydroguard.

2. Assemble items 4 through 7 using Teflon tape or pipe

compound on threads of item 4.

NOTICE

Rubber disc (item 6) holds bracket (item 5) securely in place.
3. Thread thermometer into assembly. Teflon tape or pipe

compound is recommended.

" NPT top and bottom outlets from assembly as required

by the application.

5. Assemble the faceplate and assembly using the two screws

provided (item 1).

NOTICE

A silicon sealer is recommended for the gap between items 2 and

3 and between the faceplate and wall.
6. Distance from assembly outlet piping to wall surface is the

same as from the mixing valve outlet piping to the wall surface.
