Setting the FM Presets

1. Turn the Wireless Boombox on and select a station as described in steps 1 through 3 above.

2. Press and hold the desired Preset button

number will blink three times in the display to confirm setting.

3. To call up a preset, simply press and release the Preset number

Changing the Radio region
This Wireless Boombox allows you to set the desired radio region as follows:
With the power on, press and hold the Volume/Power

for at least four seconds to enter the radio region setting mode.
Scroll through the menu using the Source/Select control

to select the desired region, then press

control to confirm.

AUX Jack (Rear of Unit)

1. Insert one end of an audio cable (not

included) into the LINE OUT or Headphone

jack on your external audio unit and the

other end into the AUX jack

2. To listen to the external audio unit, turn

the Wireless Boombox on and turn on the

external unit as well.

3. Press the Source/Select control

4. Start playback of the external unit and the external audio unit’s output sound will be heard

through the Wireless Boombox’s speakers.

Headphone Jack (Rear of Unit)

For private listening, simply plug headphones into the Headphone jack

The speaker’s sound will be muted when headphones are inserted.

Charging a USB Device with the Wireless Boombox

Connect your device via USB to the USB jack

on the Wireless Boombox. Your device will charge

when the Wireless Boombox is connected to AC power.

Setting the Treble and Bass

1. TREBLE: Press the Source/Select control

once so all the modes light. Rotate the Source/Select

control

to the TRE (Treble) position and press the Source/Select control

to confirm. Adjust

the setting using the Power/Volume control

Note: If no setting has taken place for five seconds, the unit will exit the Bass/Treble setting mode

Auto Power Off

If the unit has no audio signal, and a USB device is not charging, for 20 minutes, the unit will turn

itself off. To “wake” the unit up, simply press the Power/Volume control

Troubleshooting

If the Wireless Boombox is not producing sound, adjust the volume level on your digital music

device to high.

Please read these instructions completely

before operating this product

Turning the Wireless Boombox On/Off:

1. For AC operation: Press the Power/Volume control

on the main unit or press the Power (ON)

button

on the remote control.

For DC operation: Slide the Main Power switch

on the rear of the unit to the ON position.

Press the Power/Volume control

v

on the main unit to turn the unit on.

2. Once the Main Power switch

is turned on, you can turn the Wireless Boombox on or off by

pressing the Power/Volume control

on the main unit. If using the remote, press the Power

(ON) button

to turn the unit on. Press the OFF button

to turn the unit off.

Pairing a Bluetooth Device

1. Turn the Wireless Boombox on; the previously listened to source and volume will be selected.

2. Press the Source/Select control

once so all the modes light. Rotate the Source/Select control

to the Bluetooth ( ) position to select the Bluetooth mode and press the Source/Select

control

y

to confirm, or press Bluetooth button

3. Press and hold the Source/Select control

for approximately 3 seconds until the Bluetooth

indicator blinks quickly and makes an audible beep sound to make the speaker “discoverable”,

or press the Bluetooth button

on the remote control until the Bluetooth indicator blinks

quickly and makes an audible beep sound.

4. On the Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and select “A73” from the Device List. If the

Bluetooth device asks for a passkey, use “0000”. Some Bluetooth devices will ask you to

accept the connection. If the units are paired properly, the speaker will beep and the Bluetooth

indicator will light solid. If it failed, the Bluetooth indicator will blink slowly.

Note: After you pair a device, this unit will remember it for future use.

IMPORTANT: After step 3, you have two minutes to pair the units.

Using a Bluetooth Device

1. Turn the Wireless Boombox on; the previously listened to source and volume will be selected.

2. With a unit paired (see previous section), press the Source/Select control

once so all the

modes light. Rotate the Source/Select control

y

to the Bluetooth ( ) position to select the

Bluetooth mode and press the Source/Select control

y

to confirm, or press Bluetooth button

on the remote control.

3. Make sure the device is connected to the Wireless Boombox.

4. Operate your Bluetooth device and its sound will be heard through this unit’s speakers.

5. Adjust the volume using the Power/Volume control

on the Wireless Boombox, or the Volume

control on the Bluetooth device, and adjust the Bass and Treble as described later in this guide.

6. To mute the sound, press the Mute button

Using the FM Radio

1. Press the Volume/Power control

to turn the Wireless Boombox on; the previously listened to

source and volume will be selected.

2. Press the Source/Select control

once so all the modes light. Rotate the Source/Select control

y

to the FM position to select the radio mode and press the Source/Select control

y

to confirm,

or press the FM button

on the remote control.

3. When the FM Station appears in the display, the Wireless Boombox is in Tuner mode, so use

the Source/Select control

y

to select a station. If all the indicators appear around the Source/

Select control, the unit is in Select mode; in this case press the Source/Select control

to make

it operate as a tuning control.

4. To have the Wireless Boombox automatically scan for the next strong station, press and hold

the SEEK Up or Down button

AC CONNECTION / RECHARGING THE BATTERY

LOCATION OF CONTROLS

This unit has a built-in rechargeable battery that will automatically be charged as long as the

unit is plugged in. If the battery is low, the Battery indicator

w

will turn on.

Note: The battery will provide approximately 6 hours of operation at normal listening level.

Notes:

• Only use the supplied AC adapter.

• Remove both the DC plug and AC-IN plug to disconnect AC adapter when not in use.

• Disconnect the AC cord to use with DC power (rechargeable battery).

Rechargeable Battery Notes:

• Each time you charge and discharge the battery (charge cycles), battery capacity

slightly diminishes. Rechargeable batteries have a limited number of charge cycles

and need to be replaced eventually.

• You may wish to replace your battery when, or before, the battery does not supply

enough power to operate your device. Also, proper disposal is essential from an

environmental and safety point of view. Putting any battery directly in the trash will

harm the environment.

• Do not incinerate.

Replacing the Remote Control Battery:
1. Remove the Battery Compartment by

pressing in on the tab and then sliding the

compartment out.

2. Install a CR2025 battery, paying attention

to the polarity diagram in the compartment

(positive side up).

3. Replace the Battery Compartment.

Replacing the Rechargeable Battery:

If the battery does not supply enough power (see note in Rechargeable Battery Notes box

below), replace the rechargeable battery as follows:

1. Remove the four screws on the bottom of the unit, then grab the ends of the bottom cover

and rotate the bottom cover clockwise to expose the battery.

2. Unplug the rechargeable battery and replace with battery pack from TDK Life on Record.

3. Replace the bottom plate and tighten the screws.

Remarques sur la batterie rechargeable :

• Chaque fois que vous chargez et déchargez la batterie (cycles de charge), la capacité

de la batterie diminue légèrement. Les batteries rechargeables ont un nombre limité

de cycles de charge et doivent être remplacées à terme.

• Vous pouvez remplacer votre batterie lorsque cette dernière ne délivre plus suffisamment

de puissance pour faire fonctionner votre unité, ou avant cette échéance. En outre, il est

essentiel de la mettre au rebut de manière à respecter l’environnement et la sécurité.

Jeter une batterie directement à la poubelle est dangereux pour l’environnement.

• N’incinérez pas la batterie.

Remplacement de la pile de la télécommande :
1. Retirez le compartiment de la pile en

appuyant sur le taquet et en faisant glisser

le compartiment vers l’extérieur.

2. Installez une pile CR2025 dans le

compartiment en respectant la polarité

(signe plus vers le haut).

3. Replacez le compartiment de la pile.

Remplacement de la batterie rechargeable :

Si la batterie ne fournit pas suffisamment de puissance (reportez-vous aux remarques sur la

batterie ci-dessous), remplacez-la comme suit :

1. Retirez les quatre vis en bas de l’unité, puis saisissez les extrémités du couvercle inférieur

et tournez-le dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre afin que la batterie soit visible.

2. Débranchez la batterie rechargeable et remplacez-la par le bloc de batteries TDK Life on

Record.

3. Replacez le couvercle du bas et serrez les vis.
