Getting to know your SATA Wire
Introduction
The SATA Wire is perfect for transferring data to bare drives. Use it to
connect any 2.5” SATA notebook hard drive to your computer. With the
help of Apricorn’s user-friendly cloning software, you can clone or backup
your notebook drive in a snap.

Device Installation
Installing your SATA Wire is easy. Simply connect your 2.5” SATA drive
to the SATA Wire and connect the SATA Wire to your computer USB port
(for optimal data transfer speeds connect to a USB 3.0 port, SATA Wire
is also backwards compatible with USB 2.0). Now you can upgrade your
notebook drive using the Upgrade Suite CD. Instructions for upgrading
your Microsoft computer are provided on the following pages. If you are
upgrading your Mac, please refer to page 27.
