System components share data together via a common Fastnet 2
databus, therefore in order to upgrade the software to an individual
instrument, it must be disconnected from the fastnet databus.
Connect the field programmer device (FPD) to the instument in
accordance with the diagram opposite
set-up
The 3fd displays the information from other units in the system and can only be set-up using the Remote Unit
Set-up facility on another unit connected to the system e.g. the System Display. It is possible to select the
functions that are to be displayed on each of the three LCD windows.
